Discovering the surroundings

From the Poulloguer mill, discover the rural Trégor, rivers, forests, castles, and small cities of character. You can also join the Coast of Trégor-Goëlo in 30 to 40 minutes and enjoy the richness and variety of landscapes.

Château de Tonquédec

The castle in Tonquédec (10km),along the river Le léguer, is one of the largest fortified castles in Britanny. During summer holidays, medieval reconstructions take place every fornight. Open from April to September and on Saturdays and Sundays in October.

Small cities with character :

La Roche Derrien (10km), an informative track relates the past of this ancient city where people worked and transformed the lin.


Pontrieux

Pontrieux (13km) you can see about 50 washing places nicely renovated and flowered, and floodlit at night, rambling on a boat in the estuary of Le Trieux. In the interior of this estuary you will find a marina situated at 18km from the coast.


Tréguier (17km) is situated at the intersection of the rivers Guindy and Jaudy, it is a nice episcopal city with its ancient wood-paneled houses around the Saint-Tugdual cathedral and its small harbour called Jaudy.


Lannion les marches de Brelévenez

Lannion (17km), historical city with its paved streets and alleys, its wood-panneled houses, the church Brélévenez at the top of 140 steps, its quays and tracks along the river Le Léguer.

Le château de la Roche Jagu (16km) : its medieval-inspiration parc of 74 hectares overlooks the meandering of the river Le Trieux and is open all year. From Eastern to October the castle can be visited and a lot of activities, shows and exhibitions are proposed to the visitors.


Le Ménez-Bré (13 km) with its 302meters high towers the region le Trégor and offers a view on Les Monts d’Arrée and as far as La Côte de Granit Rose.


Along La vallée du Léguer (from 10 to 15 km) you will be able to see castles, chapels, mills, fountains and washing places. The river shelters fish : otter, salmon and trout, and is a nice place to go for a walk and angling.

Leaving the pictutesque village of Yaudet you can go for a walk and admire a lot of outstanding views on the estuary of Le Léguer.

L’Ile Grande is linked to the continent by a bridge. A lane of 7 km goes around the isle, you can enjoy fine sandy beaches, coves, marsh, and dunes. La Station de la LPO (league association for the protection of the birds) with its natural sanctuary proposes activities and outings to observe birds.

La Côte de Granit Rose is famous for its wildness : a great number of big thousand-year-old rocks with fantastic shapes : in Perros-Guirec, Ploumanac’h, Trégastel and the isle Renote.

L’Archipel des 7 îles : go to the beach Trestaou in Perros-Guirec and take the boat at the landing stage. You will see one of the most important ornithological sanctuarys in France and a multitude of birds.

Le Gouffre de Plougrescant, the swall has dug a huge fault rift into the granite which took the name of Abyss, impressive rocks alternate with fine sandy or pebbly beaches.

Le sillon de Talbert is a geological curiosity, a natural quirky site with a natural pier made of sand and pebbles. It is 3 km long and gives the stroller the impression of walking on the high seas.

La côte de Goëlo : Paimpol, a harbourd with character which has retained the memory of the fishermen from Iceland, Loguivy de la Mer, a small spiny lobster haven, l’Ile de Bréhat, with flowers and plants from the south of France, where cars are not allowed, and l’Abbaye de Beauport, a magnificient listed historical monument with its romantic gardens and activities to be done all year round.
